What advice would you give to a new student who will start IIEP in the summer?

You set a goal before you start IIEP summer program. It is very important because if you do not have any goal, you will waste time and money. How many semesters do you want to have and after the time, you want to go back your country, go to another state, or have transfer U of I or Kirkwood? you need to decide all of them before you start IIEP summer program. Also, To think or to tell your goal is not important. what you need is not words but deeds. You should make a daily study plan and practice!

♡ Always try to plan everything before you do it. Plan it. Plan provides you with time to THINK! ♡

What would you like to get for your next birthday? Why?

I like to get a handwriting letter in my birthday. I like other gifts, too. However, handwriting is more good to me. When I read a letter, I feel their mind, so I am much impressed by the letter. When I was 17, I received a handwriting letter to my friend. However, at that time we were not good relationship, but she gave me the letter in my birthday. I read the letter and made up with her. After that we recovered our relation and we became a close friend more than before. Also, letters are easy to keeping more than other gifts. Other gifts are difficult to keep long time, but letters are not. If I have only pretty box, I can keep easily. Moreover, I can recollect long time ago to reading the letter. Like this, letter sends real mind, so I like to get a handwriting letter.

Invention

Q: In your opinion, what has been the best invention in your lifetime? Why?

I think 'Cell Phone' is best invention in my life. Before a cell phone was invented, people could communicate by using a public telephone, a beeper, or a home phone. Sometimes it was uncomfortable when emergency situations happened. After a cell phone was invented, people can communicate everywhere and whenever. Now a cell phone functions as more than a phone. For example, it can check stocks, today's fortune, take a picture, play a game, play a music, use a GPS, watch TV, research the Internet, and so on. Also, cell phone is being made smaller, so people can carry it easily. Therefore, cell phone is the best invention in my life.

I recommend in Iowa...

1. If my friend will come to visit Iowa City, Irecommend The University of Iowa. It has many study places and computer rooms. When we look around these places, there are many students are studying. Some cafes are good for studying. Wide range of a lawn ground is good, too. Also, Iowa lake flows across the U of I.

Where is the best place (or places) you have visited in the US and why?

I visited only Chicago and Iowa city. I think Chicago is better than Iowa city. Chicago has high tower, Sears Tower, which night view was very beautiful. Also, I saw Chicago a wide range. Besides there is a lake,Micigan Lake, but it looks sea. That size is bigger than Korea. Moreover, when I rode a cruise boat, I could feel very cool in my mind and bady. Therefore, I think Chicagois best place.

My favorite movie genre is...

My favorite movie genre is musical movie. These musics make my feeling better. Also, it blows my stress far away. Recently I watched 'Hairspray' in my house. Main character, Traicy, is very fat and short. However, she appears very famous TV dance show and she become a dancing queen. Of course, this movie shows interesting scenes and good songs. Finally, I recommend 'Hairspray', ' Chicago', 'Moulin Rouge', and 'The Phantom Of The Opera'.

My best friend!

My best friend is Hy- jin Park.

I met her science academy at first.

She likes that talking, drinking, traveling, meeting friends.

She has special skills. She can speaks four languages; Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese.

She knows many science informations.

Also, she has good character; pleasure, kind, funny, happy, joyful, listen to other's speaking, avice other person's problem..... , so she always joins may friends.

I didn't meet her very long time, because our University is different and now I stay in U.S.A

However sometimes we call each other, even if I stay in U.S.A.

When I will go back Korea in May, I must meet her.

I hope time passes very fast!!

My Favorite Book

My favorite book is A Little Prince.

When I was very young, I choose this book because the prince, which is in book cover was so cute!

However, at first time I didn't understand that why Boa snake eats huge animal, why the little prince speaks difficult things....

I grew up more, I could understand what the characters saying. Also, I respected the little prince because he is young, but his thinking looks like grown-up person.

I can get different thinking every time when I read this book.

This book makes to grow up my thinking and mind, so I like this book.

Also, this book has many good sentences.

I'm Gowoon. Kim. Just call me Gowoon or Choding.

Choding means elemantery school student. It made to Ho. Also, I call to him 'senior'

I'm from South Korea.

Now I'm 19 years old, but Korean age is 21.

My major is cook, but I didn't decide what kind of cook do I make it.

In Korea, I'm not adult, yet. However, I will be ault after May in this year. I'm expect at that time.
